    Sir Roger George Moore (14 October &#;&#; 23 May ) was an English actor. He was the third actor to portray Ian Fleming's fictional secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions/MGM Studios film series, playing the character in sju feature films: Live and Let Die (), The Man with the Golden Gun (), The Spy Who Loved Me (), Moonraker (), For Your Eyes Only (), Octopussy (), and A View to a Kill (). Moore's seven appearances as Bond are the most of any actor in the Eon-produced entries.[1][2]

    On television, Moore played the lead role of Simon Templar, the title character in the British mystery thriller series The Saint (–).
