    Sir Roger George Moore (14 October &#;&#; 23 May ) was an English actor. He was the third actor to portray Ian Fleming's fictional secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions/MGM Studios film series, playing the character in sju feature films: Live and Let Die (), The Man with the Golden Gun (), The Spy Who Loved Me (), Moonraker (), For Your Eyes Only (), Octopussy (), and A View to a Kill (). Moore's seven appearances as Bond are the most of any actor in the Eon-produced entries.[1][2]

    On television, Moore played the lead role of Simon Templar, the title character in the British mystery thriller series The Saint (–). He also had roles in American series, including Beau Maverick on the Western Maverick (–), in which he replaced James Garner as the lead, and a co-lead, with Tony Curtis, in the action-comedy The Persuaders!
