Nicholai Olivia "Nicky" Rothschild (néeHilton; born October 5, )[1][2] is an American socialite, fashion designer and model. She is a member of the Hilton family by birth, and a member of the Rothschild family through her marriage to James Rothschild, a grandson of Victor Rothschild, 3rd Baron Rothschild, in She is the younger sister of Paris Hilton.[3]

[edit]Hilton was born on October 5, in New York City and was raised in Los Angeles[1] to Richard Hilton and Kathy Hilton (née Avanzino). Hilton was named for her granduncle, Conrad "Nicky" Hilton Jr.[4] Her siblings are Paris Hilton (born ), Barron Hilton II (born ) and Conrad Hughes Hilton (born ).[1]

The founding father of the Hilton dynasty is Conrad Hilton, the great-grandfather of Paris. One of seven children, he was the son of Norwegian immigrants, and learned business from his father who ran a grocery store in New Mexico. After serving in France during World War I, he returned to the US and moved to Texas, where he bought his first hotel: it was so successful, he ended up having to convert dining rooms into more bedrooms. He went on to buy more hotels in the state before going nationwide, eventually purchasing the famed Waldorf Astoria in New York for $3 million. He was married three times - first to Mary Adelaide Barron, with whom he had three children (Conrad Jr., William Barron, and Eric Michael); second to the Hollywood star Zsa Zsa Gabor, with whom he had one daughter (Constance Francesca Hilton Gabor) and thirdly to Mary Frances Kelly. Nicky Hilton and her older sister Paris are heirs to the Hilton Hotel fortune, known for their jetset party-girl lifestyles. Nicky is named for her grand-uncle Nicholas Conrad Nicky Hilton, Jr., the former husband of actress Elizabeth Taylor and the son of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton. NIckys fame has generally been overshadowed bygd that of her sister Paris, who starred in the long-running reality series The Simple Life. Nicky Hilton announced in that she would open a line of hotels to be called Nicky O, but by February of deals in Miami Beach, Florida and Chicago, Illinois had fallen through and she was being sued by a development company for breach of contract.
